A Bright New Direction
Audio Total describes the MP145 PRO as very different from the original MP145, with its sound moving toward a brighter presentation. He also responds strongly to its appearance, calling the golden color absolutely beautiful and praising the wave-like exterior design. Build quality is another highlight: Audio Total says he has always liked the quality HIDIZS delivers and notes virtually no imperfections or burrs on the earphones.
The large shell remains an important consideration. Audio Total has unusually large ears and can wear the MP145 PRO comfortably, but he warns that listeners with average or smaller ears may find the earpieces oversized or uncomfortable.
Flexible Sound Options
The MP145 PRO includes three interchangeable nozzle options that allow subtle adjustments to its sound. Clean Bass and Beautiful Mids
Although the MP145 PRO places a strong emphasis on detail, Audio Total makes a point of praising what happens lower in the frequency range. He describes the bass as very clean, fast, technical, and aesthetically pleasing, highlighting the qualities and speed of its planar presentation.
The mids receive even stronger praise. For Audio Total, they are beautiful and the best part of the earphones. Both male and female vocals are enjoyable, while instruments have what he considers correct timbre.
Detail, Space, and Separation
Treble is central to the MP145 PRO’s character. Audio Total describes it as airy, present, widespread, brilliant, and capable of delivering impressive detail. For listeners who love high frequencies, he considers the MP145 PRO particularly interesting.
He describes the soundstage as wide rather than exceptionally large. What impresses him most is the organization within that space, including its layering, dimensionality and three-dimensional presentation.
That treble emphasis is also the MP145 PRO’s main limitation. Audio Total initially found it difficult to listen for more than around 30 minutes, and he strongly cautions that treble-sensitive listeners may find the upper frequencies fatiguing. In his view, this is a deliberately specialized and potentially polarizing IEM rather than a universally comfortable all-rounder.
Overall Assessment
Audio Total sees the MP145 PRO as a specialized rather than all-purpose IEM. Using a sports-car analogy, he explains that an impressive product is not necessarily suitable for every listener. Its energetic treble and oversized shells may cause fatigue or discomfort, but treble enthusiasts may find its detail and precision highly rewarding.
He considers it a strong addition to a varied audiophile collection and particularly recommends it for competitive FPS gaming. The carrying case, interchangeable ear tips, tuning nozzles, and modular cable further strengthen the overall package.
After approximately 150–170 hours of use and burn-in, Audio Total personally perceived less treble intensity and found longer sessions easier, although the video provides no measurements confirming a physical change. Ultimately, he considers the MP145 PRO an excellent but polarizing choice for treble lovers.
