HIDIZS ST2 PRO 3.5mm Review - bisonicr

For bisonicr, the move to a conventional 3.5mm connection gives the ST2 PRO a different appeal from the existing DSP version. He ultimately favors this analog edition, finding its overall presentation better suited to his listening preferences and particularly easy to enjoy across a variety of everyday uses.

A Warm Take on the HIDIZS Sound

bisonicr describes the ST2 PRO 3.5mm as slightly V-shaped, with an emphasis through the mid-low frequencies. Bass has noticeable power, yet the overall presentation remains relatively neutral rather than flashy. The tone leans slightly warm, helping the earphones maintain an easygoing character.

Treble follows the same philosophy. He hears it as clear, smooth and easy to listen to, with very little harshness. Cymbals remain distinct rather than muffled, allowing the upper frequencies to provide clarity without making the presentation aggressive.

Vocals Stay Pleasant and Easy to Follow

The midrange can sound slightly recessed depending on the track, but bisonicr finds the vocal region positioned comfortably. Vocals come through clearly and transparently, making the ST2 PRO 3.5mm particularly enjoyable with rock, pop and anime songs.

He also appreciates the natural resolution of the 3.5mm version. Instrument separation is good enough to prevent busy arrangements from becoming unexpectedly crowded, while the warmer overall tone preserves a smooth and cohesive listening experience.

Bass provides much of the energy. Sub-bass receives a moderate boost and reaches a natural depth, creating a supportive foundation. Mid-bass is reasonably tight and remains well separated from the mid and upper frequencies.

Useful Spatial Performance Beyond Music

bisonicr hears a naturally broad soundstage with a moderate sense of layering. Localization is easy to understand, which extends the ST2 PRO’s usefulness beyond ordinary music listening.

He considers this positioning accuracy beneficial for gaming and video viewing, while the overall tuning also works well for streaming. The package includes the earphones, cable, S/M/L ear tips, leather pouch and warranty card. He finds the fit good, although the included thin, soft silicone tips may not suit everyone and some listeners could achieve a better fit with alternative tips.

Overall Assessment

bisonicr considers the HIDIZS ST2 PRO 3.5mm Special Edition a solidly assembled entry-level IEM with broad everyday appeal. Compared with the DSP version’s crisper response, he prefers the analog model’s smoother, more natural soundstage and relaxed listenability.

Listeners wanting a strongly flat presentation may find its bass emphasis less suitable, and fit could improve with different ear tips for some users. For rock, pop, anime songs, streaming, gaming and video, however, bisonicr finds its combination of powerful bass, pleasant vocals, smooth treble, separation and localization highly versatile. Its analog connection and approachable tuning appeal to listeners wanting an affordable earphone for entertainment.
