Marco from DyD Reviews examines the 3.5mm edition of the HIDIZS ST2 PRO as an affordable wired IEM with a straightforward design and an easygoing sound. Although its tuning has a slight V-shaped character, he finds the midrange sufficiently present to prevent vocals from disappearing behind the bass and treble.
Comfort Is a Major Strength
The ST2 PRO 3.5mm uses a mostly plastic shell with metal nozzles and a standard two-pin connection. Marco considers the design fairly ordinary visually, but describes the construction as decent for its price.
Ergonomics impress him considerably more. The shells are not excessively large, fit securely in his ears and remain stable once inserted. He considers the ST2 PRO among the more comfortable IEMs he has tried, saying they can be worn for many hours without becoming distracting.
A Mild V-Shape With Present Vocals
Marco hears a somewhat V-shaped signature, but not an aggressively sculpted one. The mids remain present and detailed, allowing singers to come through clearly rather than being overwhelmed by surrounding frequencies.
Bass is controlled and detailed but relatively modest in quantity. Compared with the previous USB-C version, Marco hears less bass presence and extension. He therefore does not consider this edition suitable for listeners whose main priority is powerful low-end impact.
Treble has noticeable presence without becoming excessively sharp or fatiguing in his experience. However, he cautions that listeners who are particularly sensitive to high frequencies may still find its upper-end energy uncomfortable.
Simple Accessories, Easy Daily Use
Marco likes the supplied cable overall, although he would have preferred something slightly thicker. His sample includes a microphone and control button. He encountered unusual behavior when using the stock cable with one device, but says changing the cable resolved the problem.
The included small, medium and large tips work well, provided the listener chooses the correct size for a proper seal. A carrying pouch is also supplied for storing the earphones, cable and tips.
With 108dB sensitivity, Marco reports that the ST2 PRO 3.5mm reaches good volume easily from phones, tablets, DAPs and computers.
Overall Assessment
DyD Reviews considers the HIDIZS ST2 PRO 3.5mm a strong affordable option for listeners wanting a comfortable 3.5mm wired IEM. Its strengths are ergonomics, clear vocals, controlled treble, detailed bass and easy drivability.
Bass enthusiasts may want greater extension and quantity, while treble-sensitive listeners should consider its upper-frequency presence. For everyday listening and even basic monitoring use, Marco finds its restrained V-shaped balance practical, enjoyable and adaptable across different everyday listening situations. He values how its comfort and accessible tuning complement the straightforward wired design.
