HIDIZS ST2 PRO 3.5mm Review - HiFi Zone

HiFi Zone approaches the 3.5mm ST2 PRO Special Edition with high expectations after enjoying HIDIZS’ recent tuning direction. Despite its modest price and simple appearance, the reviewer discovers an IEM with a distinctive strength: reproducing human voices with unusual clarity, nuance and emotional presence.

A Spotlight on Vocals

The midrange is where the ST2 PRO 3.5mm makes its strongest impression. HiFi Zone hears an exceptional amount of information in both male and female vocals, noting that even headphones costing considerably more can struggle to reveal the same level of nuance.

Voices carry a hint of dynamic-driver warmth that gives them an organic and natural character. This quality also works particularly well with acoustic music, where the reviewer finds the presentation immediately involving, engaging and filled with convincing vocal texture.

Resolution is especially impressive through the mids. Fine details and delicate sounds in familiar test tracks remain easy to identify, yet HiFi Zone stresses that the ST2 PRO 3.5mm does not become analytical. Instead, its resolution serves the music naturally.

Bass and Treble Stay in Support

Bass takes a supporting role. It sounds clear, precise and fast, retaining some dynamic-driver warmth without delivering the deepest rumble. HiFi Zone finds the overall sound full and considers the bass quality appropriate for the tuning, but electronic tracks can miss some impact. Bassheads are therefore not the intended audience.

At the opposite end, the presentation remains clear and transparent rather than veiled. HiFi Zone hears smooth treble without a metallic character, describing the result in terms of air, clarity and naturalness.

Comfortable, With Sensible Spatial Performance

The translucent resin shells are extremely lightweight, and HiFi Zone finds them comfortable enough to almost disappear during use. He also appreciates the light, flexible OFC cable, reporting no microphonic effect.

Soundstage extends beyond the head without becoming especially wide. The center image is precise and properly positioned, although depth information is limited. For the reviewer, that limitation matters less because vocals naturally command attention.

Source pairing also influences his experience. He recommends relatively natural sources, finding overly warm or dry analytical pairings less suitable. His testing included the M15S, which he describes as an excessive pairing in price terms but particularly impressive for vocals.

Overall Assessment

HiFi Zone strongly recommends the HIDIZS ST2 PRO 3.5mm Special Edition and plans to keep it in his own IEM collection. He considers it a potential vocal benchmark among affordable earphones, with clarity and resolution that can challenge significantly more expensive options.

Listeners seeking deep bass rumble or expansive spatial depth may want something different. For vocal lovers and acoustic music listeners, however, HiFi Zone finds something genuinely special and unusually memorable for its price.
