David from Prime Audio Reviews describes the MS2 PRO as a fun, full-bodied IEM. His main listening was done with the red tuning nozzles, which were installed by default.
Comfortable Shells, Functional Accessories
The polished zinc-alloy shells have a mirror finish and a textured faceplate. More importantly for David, they are comfortable. He wore the MS2 PRO for almost all day and says they continued to feel great in his ears.
The included cable is more ordinary. He considers it functional and capable of doing its job, but nothing particularly special.
Red Nozzle Keeps the Intended Character
Three tuning nozzles are included. David finds the red and black options almost indistinguishable, with only very subtle differences. The white nozzle stands apart slightly by adding extra lift around the presence region.
He primarily uses the red nozzle throughout his evaluation, so his sound impressions reflect that configuration.
Bass Makes the Biggest Impression
David hears a rich, warm and energetic presentation with low-frequency presence. Sub-bass extension is strong, while mid-bass has satisfying punch. Bass guitars, cellos and lower piano notes carry body and saturation without becoming excessively thick.
He considers the bass well above neutral, but still controlled and well behaved. It will likely be too much for some listeners, particularly neutrality purists, but David finds the added richness fun and engaging.
The midrange remains forward despite the elevated bass. Male vocals sound powerful, while female vocals retain enough lift to avoid sounding distant. David describes the overall signature as potentially W-shaped.
Treble balances the low end without becoming aggressive. It is not especially airy, but extension is good, and David finds it smooth, free from sibilance, brittleness or artificial sharpness.
Technical Performance Remains Strong
Resolution and instrument separation are standout qualities in David’s assessment. Imaging is precise, making positions within the stage easy to identify. The soundstage itself is not wide, but its rounded shape creates a natural-feeling space.
He also enjoys the MS2 PRO for gaming, where its imaging and physical bass impact contribute to an entertaining experience.
Overall Assessment
Prime Audio Reviews considers the MS2 PRO an enjoyable and technically capable IEM. Its combination of rich bass, forward mids, smooth treble, resolution, separation and imaging makes it appealing to listeners wanting an energetic sound rather than neutrality.
Listeners who prefer leaner bass or a neutral presentation may find its low frequencies excessive. The tuning nozzles also provide only modest changes, particularly between red and black. For David, however, the MS2 PRO competes strongly within its price range. He highly recommends it at the promotional prices discussed in his video and still considers it worth the money at its stated $99 retail price.
