ICYGENIUS approaches the MS2 PRO as an IEM built around musicality rather than demonstrative technical performance. Using the standard red-ring nozzle for his main assessment, he finds this configuration the most balanced of the three and appreciates how the alternative nozzles allow smaller adjustments to the presentation.
Red Is His Preferred Balance
The red-ring nozzle is ICYGENIUS’s choice because he considers its overall tuning more balanced. The transparent option reduces bass slightly while strengthening the upper-midrange region, whereas the black-ring nozzle adds more low-frequency emphasis and changes the upper frequencies.
He sees genuine room for experimentation, although the nozzles provide sound correction rather than turning the MS2 PRO into completely different earphones.
A Soft but Physical Bass Foundation
Bass is confident, dense and deep enough to be physically felt without dominating the rest of the frequency range. Even with the black nozzle, ICYGENIUS does not consider the MS2 PRO a basshead IEM.
Its low end is punchy and controlled, but the texture is somewhat soft and slightly blurred rather than sharply defined or highly detailed. Sub-bass adds depth without aggressive pressure, while mid-bass gives kicks and bass guitars satisfying volume and impact. For him, this creates a lively, musical foundation rather than an analytical one.
Mids Bring the Music Forward
ICYGENIUS describes the midrange as energetic, rich and natural. Vocals remain present instead of hiding behind the other frequencies, while guitars, piano and strings carry good body without unnecessary harshness.
He particularly appreciates how complex arrangements remain distinguishable without breaking the music into disconnected pieces. The presentation stays cohesive and comfortable during longer listening.
Treble Prioritizes Comfort
High frequencies are deliberately softer in his assessment. They are slightly smoothed and darkened, avoiding excessive brightness or aggression. Small details remain audible, but ICYGENIUS is clear that the MS2 PRO does not pursue extreme resolution or an ultra-technical presentation.
The stage follows a similar philosophy. It is not especially wide, but provides pleasant depth, some three-dimensionality and good separation. Vocals sit slightly forward while instruments surround them naturally.
Comfort is another strength. The small zinc-alloy shells fit him securely with good isolation and no comfort concerns, although their metal finish collects fingerprints easily.
Overall Assessment
ICYGENIUS sees the MS2 PRO as an IEM for listeners who prioritize natural, cohesive and fatigue-free musicality. Its punchy bass, rich mids and smooth treble create an engaging presentation that he considers suitable across musical genres.
Listeners seeking sharply textured bass, expansive staging, very bright treble or extreme micro-detail may find its approach too relaxed. For those who prefer balanced, comfortable listening over dry monitoring and analytical presentation, however, ICYGENIUS considers its musical character the main attraction during extended everyday listening sessions for him.
